PRAYER REQUEST

Dear Friends, Prayer Partners and Supporters of StreetCry,

Two months ago we shared about the possibility of getting a building (for rent) in downtown Tallinn, Estonia. This building is in the most ideal situation for reaching the youth of the city. It is smack dab in the very heart of Olde Towne Tallinn, where many, many youth gather. Here we would be able to have a youth cafe, a Bible School, a 24 hour hot line, a music studio and living quarters. There was part of the building that was not in the negotiation. For us, it was the very best possibility for a cafe. We just found out that they have included this storefront in the deal. We don't have words to describe our excitement regarding how the Lord works everything out.

We said it would be a miracle if we were able to get such a building. This week we heard that the owners, a denominational church in Tallinn, are willing to rent the building to us starting in September. At present, they want 4 times more for the rent than we are willing and able to pay, but we feel that God is able to get the price to a place where all are comfortable. We don't think that it is a big hurdle for God. For things to get this far, we believe that God is in the details!

Please join us in prayer for God to touch their hearts to rent it to us for a rent that is reasonable and manageable for us during the present financial climate.

It is a 10 room, 3 story building, plus storefront with 2 large bay windows on a main street leading into the Olde Towne town square. The foundation and first floor of the building are a couple of hundred years old. It used to be the location of the main Bible training center for Estonia when communism fell here and Estonia got it's freedom and independence from the Soviet Union.

Below are some photos.

Photo 1 is of the main old town square itself. The building we are negotiating for is a taller yellow building in the middle left back of the photo, to the left of the gray building.

Photo 2 is an antique store in the foreground, and the prospective building (yellow or mustard color) is to the right of the antique shop.

Photos 4 and 5 are the prospective building from another angle. It was a bit of a bad time of day for the photos, but we wanted to get this out to everyone urgently.

The owners are open to short or very long term rent, even up to 20 or 25 years.

We are grateful to the Lord that we can share this exciting news with you, and share our prayer need with you.

With love from Tallinn,

John and Sara Russell
